Main Excavation Site walkthrough (Part 2) in Pragmata

The Lunum Mines is the fourth sector in Pragmata, and it has five blocks: Mine Entrance, Crane Operation Yard, Warehouse, Main Excavation Site, and Nexus Tower. In this walkthrough, we'll be guiding you through the Lunum Mines, while also 100%-ing the sector. This means you'll find all the storage expanders, safe boxes, pure lunum, mods, cartridge holders, and REMs. We will lead you to some of the upgrade components and Mini Cabin figures along the way, but, as they don't count toward the sector's progress, we will be skipping a few along the way. Instead, please check out our Lunum Mines upgrade component locations guide and Mini Cabin figure locations guide. Here's how to complete the Lunum Mines in Pragmata and 100% the sector. [Ed. note: This guide contains spoilers for Pragmata, so continue at your own risk! Feel free to follow along or bookmark this page and come back if you get stuck.]
Mine Entrance walkthrough in Pragmata

Follow the path ahead where you'll end up in space. While you're outside, gravity is reduced, which means your jumps and thrusters will keep you in the air for a longer period of time. Additionally, your movement speed will be slower.

Drop into the area below to find an upgrade component, and follow the path ahead until you end up in another space portion with a couple of tall pillars. Rather than jumping to the pillars, drop onto the blue tarp below and turn to the right where you can spot a filament mass in the distance. Make your way over by jumping up to the platform. Destroy the filament and open the chest to find the Equilibrium mod.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Go back to the blue tarp and climb to the top of the pillar. Look toward the building across from you to spot another blue tarp. Use your thrusters to reach the platform and then hop over to the next platform, where you'll find the homing missiles attack unit.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

In the next area, defeat all three spider MK-II's to make exploring a bit easier. First, head to the gray pillar in the corner of the area to find a hackable terminal on the back of it. This hack functions a little differently as you'll need to time your button presses. This will drop a large orange box in the middle of the area.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Next, head to the other corner of the area where you'll find a small staircase and a few platforms. Jump from the stairs to the platform across from it, and hop your way to the top to find a safe box. Drop off and destroy the filament spikes to find an upgrade component inside.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Facing away from the cave entrance, head straight toward the initial set of stairs where you'll find a blue tarp on a box. Climb up, thrust to the orange box, and then to the door ahead. Go inside and hack the door, which will start a cutscene showing you a large robotic space worm, also known as a LunaDigger. It'll also reveal a REM in the distance, but we'll grab that a bit later. Ignore the filament mass on the right for now because you cannot destroy them yet.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

When you step on the ground, it'll start to shake, dust clouds will form, and the worm will lunge out of them. You can't beat the worm, so head straight while jumping and dashing to avoid the worm. If you do get caught, you'll need to complete a hack to get out. Head inside and follow the path where you'll have to face off against two walkers and an upgraded watcher. After you've defeated them, climb onto the platform and go up the stairs. Continue through the door leading back outside.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Jump to the platform ahead, and take out the upgraded missile watcher bot, which can now shoot two missiles at once. Drop into the opening in the stairs and grab the Campfire REM that we spotted before. Climb back up and go into the door at the top of the stairs to find an escape hatch. Now, you'll be in the Crane Operation Yard and the Lunum Mines will be 9% complete.
Crane Operation Yard walkthrough in Pragmata

In the corner of the room, you'll find the impact shield defense unit, which will prevent the LunaDigger from attacking you. Make sure to pick it up and then head out into space. A LunaDigger will breach the surface just to let you know that, yes, they're here too.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Ahead of you, there will be a crane platform that goes up and down. Wait for it to start picking up some moon dust and hop onto it. Jump onto the platform above you and grab the Analog Aggression mod.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Turn around and thrust your way to the platform on the right. Your goal is to make it to the building with the orange door just ahead. The easiest way to dodge the worm is to use your dashes just as it starts approaching you. Once inside, a crusher and a spider MK-II will appear. Defeat them and head up the stairs.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

At the top, follow the path to the left where you'll find a safe box, but this will also release the two walkers in the hallway behind you. Defeat them and head through the orange door to go back outside.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Hack the terminal, which will drop the storage container onto the ground. Thrust your way over and climb up to the top to open the safe box.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Afterward, turn around and go around the corner of the building you were just in to find a holo-wall. Interact with it to reveal a safe box inside. From here, quickly run and dash to the platform in the middle of the area. A cutscene will play telling you to get to the orange door, but ignore that for now.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Instead, look to the left of the door to spot an upgrade component on a platform along with a climbable box to its right. Your goal is to get to the platform to the right of the boxes, but you're free to grab the upgrade component as well. When you get onto the box, a missile watcher will start to target you. Defeat it and jump over to the platform, where a watcher MK-II will spawn. Defeat them and go up the crane to find the Digital Dominance mod. Next, we need to get to the platform directly across the open area. You can use the mines in the area to stun the enemies, but you should be able to dash your way across. Be careful of the turret robot on the higher level. There is a stasis net on the lower level that you can use to stun it, making it much easier to defeat them.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Hack the terminal to drop the orange container and hop your way over to the orange door. Go inside, take the elevator down, and interact with the escape hatch. Now, you'll be inside the Warehouse and the Lunum Mines should be 23% complete.
Warehouse walkthrough in Pragmata

Head into the next area where you'll find a red gate, a terminal that has "Move" written above it, and an upgrade component. The upgrade component doesn't actually have glass in front of it, so it's free to grab. If you have a red gate key, head inside. If not, skip ahead and just remember that you'll have to come back to this area. In the red gate area, you'll face off against three waves of enemies:

1 walker MK-II and 2 walkers

2 crusher MK-II's

3 lancers

After you defeat them, you'll get a storage expander and a pure lunum.

Leave the red danger area and hack the "Move" terminal twice. Go inside the area and hack the next "Move" terminal once. Turn to the right where you'll find a locked "Move" terminal. Jump onto the container to its left and walk up to the fence wall where there will be another terminal that you can hack. Hack it and drop into the area to get the Bug Net REM.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Go back into the previous area and hack the backside of the "Move" container on the floor to create an opening into the next area. Inside, a crusher MK-II will spawn.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

After it's defeated, go to the left of the movable boxes to find a safe box trapped behind one of the movable boxes in the previous area. Hack the terminal twice to push it away and backtrack to open it. Go back and hack the terminal on the ceiling, which will make a hole and your desired destination. To reach it, follow these steps:

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Hack the bottom left terminal.

Hack the bottom right terminal.

Go behind the boxes and hack the bottom left terminal, which will create a platform for you to reach the ceiling.

Climb up, use the unit printer, and go through the yellow barrier, where you'll have to battle a swarm of enemies:

1 walker MK-II, 1 walker, and 1 spider bot

A new defender bot, and two watchers

For the defender bot, shoot the shields to destroy them or shoot the little orb robots when the shields aren't active. Then, take it out as you would any other robot.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

After you defeat them, don't head up the stairs just yet as there are a few goodies you can collect nearby. On the ground floor, hack the movable box beside the upgrade component, and then turn to the left and hack the floating movable box.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Climb up into the entrance and follow the path to the right to get the upgrade component. Now, go the other way and hack the box to reveal a box behind it. Hack it into the middle area, and then, hack the original box twice, so you can get back out.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Go up the stairs and jump onto the box that you moved into the center. Look away from the door to see a blue chest and a blue ledge. Jump and dash midair twice to reach the blue ledge. Up and to your right, you'll find a safe box. Down and to the right, you'll find an upgrade component.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Go straight to where there's a hole in the platform. Look through the hole to hack the box on the left, and then move to the right to push the other box into its place. This will reveal the blue chest that has the Nice Nodes mod. You're now free to go through the door, but make sure to grab the upgrade component to the right first.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Inside the next room, you'll find a pure lunum, a unit printer, and a terminal. Hack the terminal and follow the path into the next room. Above you, you'll find a safe box on a platform. Continue into the hallway and hack the terminal on the box to move it toward the safe box, allowing you to climb up to it. Then, hack the box and push it to its farthest position. Climb onto it and jump onto the white boxes, where you'll find a safe box. Drop down, defeat the walkers and follow the path where a defender bot and a missile watcher will spawn. Take them out and continue on.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

In this next room, collect the upgrade component and climb onto the box with the blue tarp. Jump into the hole in the wall and drop into the area in the next room. The boxes in this room can be found on four different levels, with the first level starting on the ground floor. Hack the box on the second level to push it to the black wall. Then, hack the other box on the second level to push it into the box you just moved.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Climb onto the white box and jump your way up to the fourth level by using the orange boxes. Grab the upgrade component and hack the box beside it, giving you a way to make it to the top of the broken stairs.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

However, before you leave, there are a couple more goodies to grab in this room. If you turn back to the way you came, you'll see a safe box across from you.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

To reach it, drop all the way to the bottom and hack the box on the third level. Then, climb onto the white box again and make your way up to it. There's also an upgrade component to its right, and you can spot a Mini Cabin figure on an orange pipe close to the ceiling.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Return to the stairs either by dropping onto them or taking the elevator at the bottom, and hop across to the orange box. To the right of the elevator, you can see a broken Cabin and a training data next to it. Grab it and go up the elevator, where you'll find an escape hatch. Feel free to head back to the Shelter to upgrade your gear and try out the new training simulations. We also recommend bringing sticky bombs and homing missiles for this next bit as they'll come in handy. Once you're ready, go outside and hack the terminal to activate the mining rig. The platform will start to move, but an air raider will drop off two walker MK-IIs. After you defeat them, you'll have to take down the air raider. Watch out for its missiles and lasers, and use your sticky bombs to make the hack easier and homing missiles to easily track the bot. After you defeat them, head inside the building and interact with the escape hatch. You'll now be at the Main Excavation Site and the Lunum Mines should be 54% complete.

Go outside and head forward where you'll find an upgrade component and a chance to talk to Diana about the Earth. Turn to the right and climb onto the white containers.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Jump across to the rooftop and hack the container to push it forward. Then, go inside the building and hack the container to move it out of the way, revealing a hole in the floor. Drop into it to find a safe box and the Eagle Eye mod.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Hack the door and go outside, but don't go into the orange door right away. Instead, look to its left and climb into the broken part of the wall, where you'll find the Tent REM.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Now, go inside and defeat the two spider bots. Go into the next room, but avoid the black goop on the floor. Climb up to the next floor where you'll find a walker covered in the black goop. Their hacking matrix will also gain new "glitched" nodes that will delay the hacking process. Aim for their abdomen rather than their head to deal more damage. Follow the path into the next room. There is a red filament mass blocking a doorway on the lower floor, but as we can't destroy it right now, hop across to the door. In this room, you'll find a red gate key, a holo, and an escape hatch. Go back to the Shelter if you'd like, but head out the door whenever you're ready to enter the next block.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Take the first left and hack the terminal, which will drop the orange container onto the ground. Hop to the orange container and then over to the platform ahead. If you fall, go up the stairs to the right and hack the next door to end up back where you started. Continue to the top where you'll find a safe box.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Go back to the original platform, but this time jump to the platform in the middle of the area. There will be a turret robot that will make exploring the area very annoying, so make sure to take them out first.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Now, head toward the filament masses beside the ramp. Defeat the enemies nearby and then destroy them to find a safe box and an upgrade component. Make sure to stand on the debris scattered about to avoid alerting the LunaDigger as well.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Head back to the ramp where you'll find a red gate. As always, head inside if you have a key, but if not, remember to come back later on. Inside, you'll battle two waves of enemies:

2 watcher MK-IIs, 2 missile watcher MK-IIs, and 3 lancers

2 lancers and 1 defender

Multihack and Ordinance Protocol will be your best friend for this battle as there isn't a whole lot of room inside and there are a lot of attacks to avoid at once. After you've defeated them, you'll get a pure lunum and the Economize mod, but note that these two will count toward the next block.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Exit the red danger zone and go up the ramp to the left. Destroy the filament mass at the top and use the unit printer at the end of the path. Go through the yellow barrier where you'll face off against three waves of enemies:

1 executor

2 walker MK-IIs

1 defender, 1 lancer, and 1 impeder

After you've defeated them, go to the corner of the arena where you'll find a pure lunum and a staircase leading to a terminal. Hack the terminal, which will drop an orange container allowing you to cross to the exit.

However, don't go to the exit immediately as there's still a mod that we have to collect on the other side of this space. There are a few ways to get across. You can either make a run for it or go back to the initial starting point and thrust your way over. We recommend the latter, but the choice is yours.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

First, go behind the orange containers on the bottom level. Hack the container above the leftmost container to push it upward. Then, go back around and hack the two outer orange containers. Next, hack the orange container in the middle to push it out from underneath the white containers.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Climb onto the orange container you just moved and make your way to the top, but be careful as there will be another turret robot that will continuously launch missiles at you. Stun it if you can, but if not, you'll need to time your jumps across the crane platforms. Once you make it across, run behind it and hack it to avoid getting shot. Then, unload all of your anger into it and open the blue chest to get the Synaptic Response mod. Return to the initial area and jump across the platforms to reach the exit door, which will take you to the next block. At this point, the Lunum Mines should be 78% complete.
Nexus Tower walkthrough in Pragmata

Collect the training data just ahead and interact with the escape hatch at the bottom of the stairs. Head back to the Shelter to restock on your equipment and upgrade your gear, and go back out when you're ready.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Go outside and head down the stairs. Follow the path on the right to find an upgrade component and hop across to the safe box.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Drop into the area below, but don't go through the hole in the wall. Instead, look to the right of the hole to find a holo-wall that is hiding a safe box. Open the box and get back on the path until you reach a new room with a walker and an invisible robot. Defeat them to unlock the door and head inside. Look down to spot an upgrade component on one of the platforms. Grab it and drop into the area below. Follow the path, where a walker will try to jump scare you. Go into the hole where the walker came from to get an upgrade component, and then continue further into the tunnel.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

There will be two walker MK-IIs, but they'll quickly get eaten by the LunaDigger, so don't waste your hacks or units on them. Instead, turn around and hide in one of the indents in the wall while you wait for the worm to pass by. Once it's gone, go down the path to find a tunnel illuminated by lunum. Continue through the hole where you'll find an escape hatch. It's best to head back to the Shelter now as, you guessed it, you'll need to fight the LunaDigger in the next room.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

It's essential to bring a charge piercer and sticky bombs, as they'll trivialize the fight. Use the sticky bombs to make the hacks easier, and then use the charge piercer to shoot the inside of the LunaDigger's mouth while it's vulnerable. The worm will go down, and you can use a critical shot. Repeat this until they're defeated and pick up the Shelter License Key. Follow the path ahead where a cutscene will start. Once it's over, you'll end up back in the Shelter.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Take Diana to the emergency tram, and interact with the screen. Select your loadout and ride the tram to the next sector, Experimental Pragmatics. At this point, the Lunum Mines will be 90% complete, but you'll need to progress in the story and upgrade your Lim Eraser to finish the last 10%.
Mine Entrance walkthrough (Part 2) in Pragmata

Take the tram to the Crane Control Room, which is in the second block, but it is much closer to the dead filament mass in the Mine Entrance block.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Head out the orange door beside the escape hatch, and defeat the missile watcher outside. Then, retrace your steps to the dead filament mass by going around the orange fence on the ground. Cleanse the dead filament and head inside.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Follow the path into a pit full of lasers. Head over to the terminal on the wall while avoiding the lasers. When you land, there will be a few walkers. Take them out and open the safe box.

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Then, hack the terminal, which will create platforms for you to climb your way back up. Avoid the lasers and defeat the enemies as you jump from platform to platform. At the top, you'll end up in a room with a storage expander and safe box. Make your way back to the Shelter to head to the next block.
Main Excavation Site walkthrough (Part 2) in Pragmata

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Capcom via Polygon

Travel to the Logistic Management tram station, but don't go into the orange door. Instead, turn to the left and go through the other door. Drop into the area below to find the dead filament mass. Cleanse it and head inside to find the safe box, completing this block and 100%-ing the Lunum Mines.
